The NCC for Infectious Diseases (NCCID) in partnership with the NCC for Healthy Public Policy (NCCHPP) and the NCC for Determinants of Health (NCCDH), are proud to present a webinar intitled "Intersections of Refugee Women's Health".
Scheduled for Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (CST), this interactive webinar features a presentation by Dr. Bilkis Vissandjée, a professor at the faculty of nursing at the Université de Montréal who has worked with numerous NGOs to develop and implement programs for newcomers to Canada with diseases such as tuberculosis and type two diabetes. Her contributions to the scientific community, nationally and internationally, highlights the importance of issues related to gender, migration experience and ethnicity in developing strategies to promote health in Canada.
Dr. Vissandjée will field questions from participants in a question and answer session following her presentation. Registrants are invited to submit questions prior to the webinar to S.M. Zeeshan Qadar at firstname.lastname@example.org.
